今回は、前回に続き「全米マスターズ」のお話です。

=Phil Mickelson wins his second Green Jacket=

As everyone knows, Phil Mickelson won his second Masters title in Augusta on April 9. Here are a few interesting facts about his victory.
1. He became the third left=handed golfer to win the Masters in the last four years. He also won in 2004, and Mike Weir, a left-hander from Canada won in 2003.
2. Mickelson is now halfway towards winning the Grand Slam. Having won the PGA Championship last August, he now has won two Major Championships in a row. If he wins the US Open in June and the British Open in July, he will have won all four Majors in a row. The only other player to do that has been Tiger Woods.
3. Phil Mickelson played the Masters Tournament with two drivers in his bag. He could hit the ball differently with each driver, allowing him to be able to take control of the tricky tee shots at Augusta.

=No Tournament Golf for Tiger Woods=

It is quite possible that Tiger Woods will not play another golf tournament until the US Open in June. His father, Earl Woods, is very ill at the moment suffering from cancer, and Tiger does not want to be to far away from him.
However, this did not stop Tiger from traveling to New Zealand to be best man at the wedding of his caddy, Steve Williams. While in New Zealand, Tiger Woods participated in a Stock Car race, and also took a dive from the world’s tallest bungy jump.
